BASKETBALL

Description:

Basketball is a team sport. Two teams of five players each try to score by shooting a ball through a hoop elevated 10 feet above the ground. The game is played on a rectangular floor called the court, and there is a hoop at each end. The court is divided into two main sections by the mid-court line. If the offensive team puts the ball into play behind the mid-court line, it has ten seconds to get the ball over the mid-court line. If it doesn't, then the defense gets the ball. Once the offensive team gets the ball over the mid-court line, it can no longer have possession of the ball in the area in back of the line. If it does, the defense is awarded the ball.

Rules & Regulations:

Registration will be accepted on first come and first served basis.
Team violating the code of conduct will be disqualified
Referee's decision will be considered FINAL and it will not be CHANGED.
4 quarters game each quarter of 7 minutes (running) for group stages matches
One player can play for only one team.
All matches will be played in Iqra University.
On match day the team should be there at least 15 minutes before the Match time. (Read this carefully please, we have to entertain a lot of teams, respect each other’s time). Otherwise opponent team will receive a walk over.
No one will be allowed to challenge the decision of the referees and the organizers.
Fair Play shall be observed
If a same university, club, college or school entries more than one team, they will not face each other until the Final stages.
