RAP BATTLE

 

Description:   

Rap Battle has been an integral part of Hip Hop since culture’s early years. It has gone through various eras. In recent years, the popularity of Rap Battle has grown making it more intricate and polished than ever.

Freestyle Rap commonly refers to rap lyrics which are improvised through a cappella or with instrumental beats, i.e. performed with no previously composed lyrics, or “off the top of the head”. A freestyle battle is a contest in which two or more rappers compete or "battle" each other using improvised lyrics.

 

Entry criteria

1. The emcee/rapper must abide by the eligibility rules of critical breakdown-Freestyle Rap Battle.
2. This is an open category.
3. No age limit required.

 

Rules & Guidelines:

1. Do not bite (copy) someone else work. Your freestyle must be 100% original material and shall not infringe upon any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights nor shall it contain any vulgar words and sexually explicit lyrics.
2. The organizer / promoter will appoint the timekeeper. Person will be provided with a stop watch and will be responsible for indicating the end of each round. The clocks 0 start from the beginning of the first line spoken by the competitor.
3. For the preliminary round of competition each emcee will be given two rounds each emcee rhymes twice for three (2.5-3) minute per round, in the final round each emcee rhymes twice for three (3.5-4) minute. In case of a tie another round will be provided to break the tie.
4. Competitors who are rude, abusive or deemed otherwise unsuitable by the organizers will be disqualified from the competition.

Rs.500/ Per Head, Maximum 1 member is allowed. (University)
